The FFP3 NR filtering half mask, Chinese production, is designed to protect the respiratory system against dust, water-based aerosols and liquid dispersed phase (fog). They consist of a material with a very dense weave and a special purifying filter, which ensures the highest level of protection. At the same time, it is characterized by the greatest tightness. The FFP3 mask filters with high efficiency particles of carcinogenic substances and pathogenic particles – viruses, bacteria and fungi.
The filtering half-mask consists mainly of a face piece made of a filtering material and auxiliary accessories depending on the model, such as head straps, exhalation valve or a strap holder. The air inhaled from the environment passes through the filter material where it is cleaned. Exhaled air is expelled to the outside through the facepiece material and an exhalation valve located in the cup.
The European standard EN 149 divides filtering respirators into the following classes: FFP1, FFP2, FFP3, depending on the guaranteed degree of protection. The higher the type of FFP protection, the tighter the mask is and the better it protects our respiratory system. There are also disposable and reusable masks.
When choosing a protective mask, it is worth paying attention to other markings:
- NR – disposable half mask, intended to be worn for a maximum of 8 hours, should not be put on again;
- R – reusable half mask
- D – which confirms that the mask has passed the dolomite dust clogging test
The masks are originally closed in pouches, which allows for convenient storage.
